In this course, students learn how to be prepared for security threats early in the life cycle of their projects. Topics covered include encryption, network authentication, and authorization strategies.
Prerequisites:
Students should be familiar with the basics of the Microsoft® Windows® operating system architecture, including processes, DLLs, and threads. Programming experience on the Windows platform is required to implement the labs, although non-programmers can build and run the solutions and still benefit from the class. Prior exposure to the Microsoft .NET Framework is beneficial. Most of the labs are written in Microsoft Visual C#® .NET.
